Dental Exam
If you are considering dental implants, your mouth must be examined to determine bone, gum tissue, and space available for an implant and your medical and dental history reviewed. Panoramic X-ray and for some patients, a dental CAT scan, will be taken to determine the optimum placement of your dental implants. In some situations where the bone is not sufficient to support dental implants, minor or major bone grafting procedures may be recommended. In situations like these, your treatment plan may be separated in phases from 2-6 months.
Reasons for dental implants:
• Replace one or more missing teeth without affecting adjacent teeth.
• Resolve joint pain or bite problems caused by teeth shifting into missing tooth space.
• Restore your smile and improve your confidence.
• Restore chewing, speech, and digestion.
• Restore or enhance facial tissues.
• Support a bridge or denture, making them more secure and comfortable.
Dental implants are a great way to replace missing teeth and also provide a fixed solution to having removable partial or complete dentures.
